Tech startups need capital and community to grow, and although women are founding more and more startups, a significant part of the issue for female founders is the uneven playing field in fundraising and technology networks. I’m excited to be a part of Female Founder Office Hours, taking action to help change this for the better.

Growth-stage female founders: We’re excited to meet you and do our best to help you build businesses that put dents in the universe. We know women can build enduring and meaningful technology companies — and we are eager to back them.

We hope you can join us on April 12th, 2018. Apply here!

Greylock Partners invests in companies from “startup to scale up”; that is, the moment of inception, to Series A, Series B and through later stage growth. Often, the Series B is the “moment of truth” for venture-backed startups; across the industry, there is a dramatic falloff in the number of companies that are funded at the Series B (vs. Series A and Seed-stage) and the bar is very high. Each step in the process of company-building only get harder. We need to support more women-founded companies through this funnel so that there are 100 stories like Katrina Lake’s.

I believe in the power of a virtuous cycle of women helping women, and I am excited to be a part of this initiative to provide community, mentorship and connection. I look forward to meeting with growth stage women founders in April as part of the Female Founder Office Hours.
